Johnny Richards

Johnny Richards, born Juan Manuel Cascales on November 2, 1911, was an American jazz composer and arranger known for his influential work with Stan Kenton's big band in the 1950s and early 1960s. He contributed to significant albums such as "Cuban Fire!" and "Kenton's West Side Story," and also composed the popular song "Young at Heart." After moving to New York City in 1952, he continued to work as an arranger and bandleader until his death on October 7, 1968, from a brain tumor.
