The Royal Guardsmen

The Royal Guardsmen, an American rock band from Ocala, Florida, gained fame in the 1960s with hit singles like "Snoopy vs. the Red Baron" and "Snoopy's Christmas." Active primarily from 1966 to 1971 and briefly reuniting later, they were notable for their playful songs inspired by the Peanuts comic strip, particularly featuring Snoopy and the Red Baron. Despite their early success, members expressed feeling typecast, leading to their eventual breakup in 1970 and sporadic reunions thereafter, including performances in the 2000s.
