The Regents

The Regents were an American doo-wop vocal group from The Bronx, New York, active primarily in the late 1950s and 1960s. They are most notable for their 1961 hit "Barbara-Ann," which reached No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was later covered by the Beach Boys, as well as their follow-up single "Runaround," which peaked at No. 28. The group underwent several line-up changes over the years and reformed in the 1970s, continuing to perform and record until the 1990s, while also making appearances on various television shows, including the Grammy Awards.
