Lula Reed

Lula Reed (1926–2008) was an American rhythm and blues and gospel singer known for her work in the 1950s and 1960s. Originally from Mingo Junction, Ohio, she gained popularity with hits like "I'll Drown in My Tears" as a vocalist for Sonny Thompson and later recorded with notable guitarist Freddy King. Reed had a brief but impactful musical career, with several of her recordings achieving recognition, although she did not have sustained commercial success after the mid-1950s. She stepped away from music in 1967, citing lack of promotion, and passed away in Detroit, Michigan.
