The Osborne Brothers

The Osborne Brothers were a prominent American bluegrass duo consisting of Sonny and Bobby Osborne, active from the early 1950s until 2005. They gained notable recognition in the 1960s and 1970s, primarily for their hit "Rocky Top," which became an official state song of Tennessee. The brothers were known for their innovative vocal harmonies and incorporation of electronic instruments in bluegrass music, influencing the genre significantly and earning induction into the Grand Ole Opry and the International Bluegrass Music Association's Hall of Honor. Bobby Osborne continued performing until his death in 2023, while Sonny passed away in 2021.
