Laurie London

Laurie London, born on January 19, 1944, in Bethnal Green, East London, is an English singer who gained fame in the 1950s, particularly as a boy singer known for gospel and novelty songs. His most notable achievement is the hit single "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands," which reached number one on Billboard's charts and sold over a million copies, making it the most successful record by a British male in the U.S. during that decade. He largely retired from music by age nineteen, later running a hotel in West Sussex before selling it in 2000.
