The Lightcrust Doughboys

Gene Summers (January 3, 1939 – February 17, 2021) was an influential American rockabilly musician known for hits including "Big Blue Diamonds" and "School of Rock 'n Roll." Active from 1958 to 2021, he gained recognition for his dynamic performances and was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 1997 and the Southern Legends Entertainment & Performing Arts Hall of Fame in 2005. Summers celebrated his 50th anniversary as a recording artist in 2008 with the album "Reminisce Cafe" and continued performing internationally until his death at age 82.
