Barbara Lea

Barbara Lea (April 10, 1929 – December 26, 2011) was an American jazz singer known for her contributions to the jazz and cabaret genres. Born in Detroit and initially inspired by her musical family, she launched her career in the early 1950s, releasing her debut album, "Woman in Love," in 1955. Over the decades, she became recognized for her interpretations of American popular songs, performing at notable jazz festivals and collaborating with various artists. In addition to her music career, Lea pursued acting and earned a degree in drama. She passed away at the age of 82 from complications related to Alzheimer's disease.
