Steve Lawrence

Steve Lawrence (1935–2024) was an American singer, comedian, and actor, best recognized for his work as one half of the musical duo Steve and Eydie alongside his wife, Eydie Gormé. They gained prominence as regulars on "Tonight Starring Steve Allen" in the 1950s, and Lawrence is noted for his role as Maury Sline in the iconic films "The Blues Brothers" and its sequel. Throughout his career, which spanned from the early 1950s until 2019, Lawrence was a versatile performer in music and television, earning numerous awards, including an Emmy, while dealing with personal challenges, notably Alzheimer's disease, which he revealed in 2019.
