Jackson Bull Moose

Bull Moose Jackson, born Benjamin Clarence Jackson on April 22, 1919, was an influential American blues and rhythm-and-blues singer and saxophonist, active primarily in the late 1940s. Known for his suggestive songs, he achieved notable success with hits like "I Love You, Yes I Do," which became one of the first R&B singles to sell a million copies. After a hiatus from the music scene in the mid-1950s, he experienced a revival in the 1980s, culminating in his final performances before his death from lung cancer on July 31, 1989. Jackson's legacy includes a rich catalog that contributed to the evolution of R&B and dirty blues.
