Sarah Vaughan

Sarah Vaughan (1924–1990) was an acclaimed American jazz singer and pianist known for her extraordinary vocal talent, earning her nicknames such as "Sassy" and "The Divine One." Active from the early 1940s, she rose to prominence through collaborations with notable musicians and record labels, winning two Grammy Awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award, and receiving the NEA Jazz Masters Award in 1989.
