Julie London

Julie London was an American actress and singer, recognized for her sultry contralto voice and extensive career that spanned over 40 years from 1944 to 1981. She released over thirty albums, with notable hits like "Cry Me a River," which was later inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. London achieved fame as Nurse Dixie McCall in the television series Emergency! from 1972 to 1979, while her film credits included leading roles in Westerns and musical performances. After a decline in health due to smoking-related illnesses, she passed away in 2000 at the age of 74, leaving behind a legacy as an influential figure in both music and acting.
