Sonny JamesSonny James, born Jimmie Hugh Loden in 1928, was a prominent American country music singer and songwriter known for his 1957 hit "Young Love," which topped both the country and pop charts. Active from 1953 to 1983, he achieved significant success with 26 number-one country hits and a record-breaking streak of 16 consecutive number-one singles. James was recognized for his influential career with multiple honors, including induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007, and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1961.
