Holmes Richard "Groove"Richard Arnold "Groove" Holmes (1931–1991) was an American jazz organist noted for his contributions to hard bop and soul jazz. He gained prominence for his 1965 recording of "Misty" and had a prolific career that included numerous albums with labels such as Pacific Jazz and Prestige, often collaborating with prominent artists like Houston Person.
