Bobby HackettBobby Hackett (1915–1976) was a renowned American jazz musician, celebrated for his versatile trumpet and cornet playing across various genres, including swing and Dixieland jazz. Active from the 1920s to 1976, he gained notable recognition for his collaborations with major artists such as Louis Armstrong, Glenn Miller, and Jackie Gleason, particularly as a featured soloist on Gleason's popular mood music albums. Hackett's career spanned several decades, during which he played with prominent bands and contributed significantly to the jazz scene, eventually earning induction into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame.
