Hopkins Lightnin' (Hopkins Lightning)

Lightnin' Hopkins (1912–1982) was an influential American country blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Centerville, Texas. His unique style and prolific output made him a key figure in the blues genre, with notable contributions to electric and Texas blues during his career, which spanned from 1946 to 1982. He gained recognition for his exceptional guitar work and songwriting, earning a place in the Blues Hall of Fame in 1980.
