Gormé Eydie (Gorme Eydie)

Eydie Gormé (1928–2013) was an American pop singer known for her versatility across pop, Latin, and jazz genres. She first gained attention in the early 1950s and became famous for her duo performances with husband Steve Lawrence, achieving several hits including "Blame It on the Bossa Nova." Gormé was also celebrated for her Spanish-language recordings, particularly with the Trio Los Panchos, which earned her international success. Throughout her career, she received various accolades, including Grammy Awards and Emmy Awards, and performed extensively on Broadway and in Las Vegas. Gormé's contributions to music and entertainment left a lasting legacy.
