Bob GibsonBob Gibson (1935–2020) was a prominent American baseball pitcher who played his entire Major League Baseball career with the St. Louis Cardinals from 1959 to 1975. Renowned for his fierce competitiveness, he notched 251 wins and 3,117 strikeouts, earning a 2.91 earned run average. Gibson was a nine-time All-Star and a two-time World Series Champion, receiving accolades such as two Cy Young Awards and the 1968 National League Most Valuable Player Award, during one of the greatest pitching seasons in history.
