Georgia GibbsGeorgia Gibbs, born Frieda Lipschitz in 1918, was an American jazz and pop singer known for her versatility and vibrant stage presence. Achieving fame in the mid-1950s, she gained recognition for her covers of rhythm and blues songs originally performed by Black artists, including "Kiss of Fire," which became a major hit. Throughout her career, Gibbs appeared on numerous radio and television programs, recorded over 40 charted songs, and seamlessly transitioned between genres such as jazz, rock, and traditional ballads.
