Hank Garland

Hank Garland, born Walter Louis Garland on November 11, 1930, was a prominent American guitarist and songwriter known for his contributions to country, rock and roll, and jazz music from the 1940s until an accident in 1961 curtailed his career. He was notable for his work as a session musician, particularly with Elvis Presley, and recorded influential hits in the 1950s and early 1960s, including jazz albums and performances at significant music festivals, before his health declined due to a brain injury and later complications leading to his death on December 27, 2004.
