Gardner Don & Dee Dee FordDon Gardner (May 9, 1931 – September 4, 2018) was an American rhythm and blues singer, songwriter, and drummer known for his 1962 hit "I Need Your Loving," performed with Dee Dee Ford. Starting his career in the late 1940s, Gardner gained prominence on the Chitlin' Circuit and released several influential records throughout the 1960s and 1970s, including collaborations with various artists. He also served as the executive director of the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz & Performing Arts later in his life, where he continued to contribute to music until his passing at the age of 87.
