Green Bennie (Benny)

Bennie Green (1923–1977) was an American jazz trombonist known for his work during the 1950s and 1960s. Born in Chicago, he played with notable orchestras such as those of Earl Hines and Charlie Ventura, and recorded as a bandleader, blending elements of swing and soul. Green spent his later years in Las Vegas, performing in hotel bands and making occasional festival appearances until his death in 1977. His contributions to jazz include a discography with several influential albums released under prominent labels.
