Elliot Mama CassShepherd Market is a small precinct in Mayfair, London, developed between 1735 and 1746 by architect Edward Shepherd on land previously used for a fair, giving rise to the Mayfair name. Originally featuring a market and a theatre, it became notable in the 1920s as a gathering place for writers and artists, and maintained associations with upscale prostitution until at least the 1980s. The area is characterized by its village-like atmosphere and continues to be a vibrant part of London. (Source: Wikipedia)
