The Electric Prunes

The Electric Prunes are an American psychedelic rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965, known for their unique sound that combined elements of psychedelia and early electronic rock. They achieved commercial success with hits like "I Had Too Much to Dream (Last Night)" and "Get Me to the World on Time," while also exploring complex arrangements through albums produced by David Axelrod. The band's original lineup disbanded by 1968, but they reunited in 1999 and continue to perform, with lead singer James Lowe remaining active until his passing in May 2025.
