Duane Eddy

Duane Eddy (April 26, 1938 – April 30, 2024) was a prominent American guitarist renowned for his distinctive "twangy" sound that characterized many of his hits in the late 1950s and early 1960s, such as "Rebel-'Rouser" and "Peter Gunn." Having sold 12 million records by 1963, he influenced a wide range of artists, notably the Beatles and Bruce Springsteen. Eddy was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and continued to perform and release music into the 2020s, leaving a lasting legacy in rock and roll history. He passed away in 2024 at the age of 86.
