Ethel EnnisEthel Ennis (1932–2019) was an American jazz singer renowned for her seven-decade career and her deep ties to Baltimore, where she earned the nickname "First Lady of Jazz." She began performing at a young age and released several albums, including her debut "Lullabies for Losers" in 1955. Over her career, she took multiple breaks from recording, but made notable comebacks, including her acclaimed album in 1994 and her final live recording in 2005. Ennis was also recognized for her a cappella rendition of the national anthem at the Nixon inauguration and was active in music until her passing from a stroke at age 86. (Source: Wikipedia)
