Miles Davis

Miles Davis (1926–1991) was an American jazz trumpeter, bandleader, and composer recognized as a key figure in jazz and 20th-century music. Over his five-decade career, Davis significantly shaped various music genres, including bebop, hard bop, cool jazz, and jazz fusion, with landmark albums like "Kind of Blue" and "Bitches Brew." His innovative approach and willingness to experiment with different styles made him a central figure in many important musical movements. Despite personal struggles, including addiction, he maintained a prolific career and continued to influence generations of musicians until his death. Davis was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.
