Dupree Champion JackChampion Jack Dupree (1909/10–1992) was an American blues and boogie-woogie pianist and singer known for his unique style and storytelling in music. Born in New Orleans and orphaned at a young age, he developed his musical talents while also having a brief career as a boxer, which earned him his nickname. Dupree's music career spanned from 1931 to 1991, during which he recorded numerous albums and performed internationally. Following military service in World War II, his notable works included "Walkin' the Blues" and the album "Blues from the Gutter." He spent his later years in Europe, continuing to influence the blues scene until his death in Hanover, Germany. (Source: Wikipedia)
