Donovan (Leitch)Donovan Phillips Leitch, known mononymously as Donovan, is a Scottish musician, songwriter, and record producer born on May 10, 1946. He gained prominence in the British folk scene in the mid-1960s, becoming a notable figure of the flower power movement with his blend of folk, pop, and psychedelia, achieving international success with hits like "Sunshine Superman" and "Mellow Yellow." After experiencing a decline in popularity following the end of his collaboration with producer Mickie Most, he continued to perform and release music throughout the decades, resulting in a resurgence in the 1990s. Donovan was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014. (Source: Wikipedia)
