Dion & The BelmontsDion and the Belmonts was an American vocal group that gained prominence in the late 1950s, originating from the Bronx, New York City. The group, formed by Dion DiMucci and the Belmonts—Angelo D'Aleo, Carlo Mastrangelo, and Fred Milano—achieved notable success with hits like "I Wonder Why" and "A Teenager in Love," and they contributed significantly to the doo-wop and rock and roll genres, releasing several albums and charting multiple songs on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite Dion's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989, the Belmonts have not been similarly recognized, although they were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2000.
