The Crickets

The Crickets were an American rock and roll band formed in Lubbock, Texas, in 1957 by Buddy Holly and his bandmates. They achieved early success with hits like "That'll Be the Day" and significantly influenced the rock genre through their pioneering guitar-bass-drums setup. Following Holly's tragic death in 1959, the band continued to evolve with various lineups and remained active in the music scene well into the 21st century, garnering recognition for their contributions, including inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Musicians Hall of Fame. The Crickets exemplify the enduring legacy of early rock music.
