Sam CookeSam Cooke (1931–1964) was an influential American singer and songwriter, often regarded as the "King of Soul." He achieved significant success during his brief career, with 29 singles in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 and numerous hits such as "You Send Me" and "A Change Is Gonna Come." Cooke was also a pivotal figure in the civil rights movement and made strides in the music industry by founding his own record label.
