Johnny HortonJohnny Horton (1925–1960) was an American country and rockabilly musician known for his history-themed songs during the 1950s. His notable hits include "The Battle of New Orleans," which won the Grammy Award for Best Country & Western Recording in 1960, and the chart-toppers "Sink the Bismarck" and "North to Alaska." Horton achieved significant popularity and was recognized posthumously in various music halls of fame. Tragically, he died in a car accident just as his career was reaching its peak.
