Moe Koffman

Moe Koffman (1928–2001) was a prominent Canadian jazz saxophonist and flautist, known for his role as a composer and arranger. His career, which spanned from the 1950s to the 2000s, included the release of 30 albums and notable performances with big bands and orchestras, as well as membership in Rob McConnell's Boss Brass. Koffman gained recognition with his hit "Swinging Shepherd Blues" and the themes "Curried Soul" and "Koff Drops" for the CBC Radio One show As It Happens. He received the Order of Canada in 1993 and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1997.
