Lou ChristieLou Christie, born Lugee Alfredo Giovanni Sacco on February 19, 1943, in Glenwillard, Pennsylvania, was an influential American pop and soft rock singer-songwriter recognized for major hits in the 1960s, such as "Lightnin' Strikes" and "I'm Gonna Make You Mine." His career began in the early 1960s and included a brief military service interruption. He became known for his distinctive falsetto voice and significant chart success, particularly with Roulette and MGM Records. Christie remained active in music, including performances and new releases, until his death on June 18, 2025, at the age of 82, maintaining a lasting presence on the oldies circuit.
