Edie Adams

Edie Adams (1927-2008) was an American comedian, actress, singer, and businesswoman known for her prominent career in the mid-20th century. She gained acclaim for her performances on Broadway, winning a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, and she was also recognized with an Emmy nomination. Adams became well-known for her television partnership with her husband, Ernie Kovacs, and later starred in her own show, "Here's Edie." Beyond her acting career, she established successful beauty businesses and was a recognizable face in advertising, particularly for Muriel Cigars. Adams continued to perform and venture into business until her retirement in 2004.
